Most drone operators pick up a controller and call themselves a media company. PittStop Aviation took a different path. Founded in 2017 by a certified Airframe & Powerplant mechanic with over a decade of hands-on aviation experience, we approach every flight the way a trained aviator would — with preparation, precision, and an uncompromising respect for the airspace.

What began as an aircraft detailing operation on the ramps of Long Island evolved through aircraft maintenance, a cross-country move to Dallas–Fort Worth, and ultimately into what PittStop is today — DFW's premier FAA-certified drone media company. Every chapter of that evolution made us better at what we do. And what we do is fly — professionally, legally, and with a standard of quality that reflects real aviation training.

Born on the Ramp

PittStop Aviation opened its doors in Farmingdale, Long Island at age 18 — starting with aircraft detailing and maintenance on Pipers, Cessnas, Cirruses, Beechcrafts, Learjets, and HondaJets. The work was physical, precise, and unforgiving. It built the standard we still hold today.

New York to DFW

PittStop relocated to the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex — one of the fastest-growing aviation and real estate markets in the country. A new city brought new clients, new airspace, and a new opportunity to serve a community that was ready for a different kind of aerial operation.

Armed with FAA Part 107 certification and a decade of aviation knowledge that no weekend hobbyist could match, PittStop evolved into drone media. The equipment changed. The discipline didn't. Every flight carries the same standard that was forged on a Long Island runway years before.
